AC Noise filter an isolator is a type of AC filter and should of worked for you but i believe you hook that up to the speaker line it self...
i would go with the AC filter still the isolator only gets the hum off the speaker you hook it up to, that AC is still getting into your stereo...
you are getting AC from your alternator on your power line you'll need to get a AC filter its more or less just a capacitor and a few diodes...
