No way, it may get stone chips in the floor pans. Mine sits on the trailer, even when it's in it's climate controlled garage.
rules 1 - Never leave your car alone in the dark 2 - Not drink or eat in the car if it's a show car 3 - You should at least provide service to your mav/comet every six months 4 - Your mav/comet must have a garage protecting it from sun, rain, hail, dust, and thieves 5 - You should love your mav/comet as yourself 6 - Don't let your teenage son drive it (even if he says he won't drive it too fast Daddy) same thing for the wife... 7 - Don't drive your mav/comet in bad weather 8 - Enjoy your car in whatever way makes you happy (safely, cleanly, or wildly). 9 - Don't drive it drunk (you'll be sorry later) 10 - Anyone know what number 10 should be????
Yes sir. Savor every ounce of enjoyment she has to offer*. My car was made to DRIVE. *Long as you vacuum that junk up later.
Can you all feel the Maverick / Comet love, and to think some people think these cars are crap and should all be junked. All i know is that most other types of cars that people restore mostly do it to sell for a profit or restore certain cars because they have a need to have the most popular car at a classic car show with the hope of winning an award at every car show that they attend. Do they really love their car like we all love our Mavericks or Comets. I hear all the time on this board and the other (BRAZIL) that they WILL NEVER sell their Mavericks or Comets and that they love these cars. How many times do you hear someone say about some other type of classic car , " Yeah i would sell it if someone will offer me some money for it"( usually not all that much more than they paid for it or to restore it ) most guys on this board won't part with these cars- period. Now that's love and respect for Mavericks and Comets.Oh yeah!!!!!! 1.) NEVER EVER PART WITH YOUR MAVERICK OR COMET.
douggow, dont worry im working on getting my son into one of his own. (he also says he can carry my urn in the trunk and that will cover my wishesrofl2
Now that's love and respect for Mavericks and Comets.Oh yeah!!!!!! I agree I will use it, and then give to my son
I know I beat this one to death but a good rule for your project is dont try to use the AK trim clips.
Beat this one to death, hell no, with the amount of trouble you have had with these clips..... tell the whole world or at least all of us on all of the Maverick / Comet boards.:16suspect It does us all a big favor when a member informs us about a crappy part or a company that won't even call you back or offer you some help of some sort.
