I will probably just make a new thread cause this thread turned bad quick. And its pretty poluted.

I went through all the post and did not find it. I have made some progress. I ordered $100 worth of parts for it. Bought a parts car for the passenger quarter panel and bought a welder. Also we finally got it off the trailer which took alot of work considering it has no rearend or front end.:thumbs2: Its not progress towards the car but its progress in general. Progress isnt always made over night.

A maverick that he can turn into a drag car and a Built 302 i have. These are his exact words copied and pasted.

"it will be the deal you wont pass up on the car it dont have rust but just know the motor is out of it it does match numbers paint is super"

He says something is wrong with the heads so he pulled the 302 which would be no problem dropping another one in it. He says he is gonna take it to restoration shops and try to sell it then come to me. There are only 2 restoration shops in my town. Both will laugh at him, trying to sell a maverick when they have a $97,000 torino on their show room floor and the other one i work at and they make fun of them alot.

The projects forum is only for reporting progress as you do a restoration.

From the first line of Stefan's sticky on the forum:
The Maverick/Comet project forum is to be used for documenting the progress on the build of your 1970 – 1979 Maverick/Comet.

I realize you intended to update your original thread with progress - but that all pretty well ended when the thread took on a life of its own.

Once you are actually doing work on the car - start a new thread to show the progress.
