Installed the oil pump inlet tube and front cover. I think it's time to clean up and spend time with the Wife since she hasn't fussed about me being in the Man Cave all day.
A Maverick, plants and bicycles. Looks just like my garage in the winter. My car had a 250. Then a 200 and now back to a 250. The difference in power is very noticeable. You'll be surprised. Nice work.
Spent hours cleaning and stripping the oil pan today. Got it all done and painted. Picked up an oil pan gasket today, the one in the master set had 2 left sides. Should get it installed tomorrow.
I have no idea Everett, must be to attract woman, they love dimples! Yes, its rattle can from Auto Zone.
I was thinking the same thing back on page 4... I may be wrong, as I don't know for sure, but I would assume it would be to clear the inner tie-rod to drag link joints under full turns left and right??? Oh, and back On-Topic... Nice Job, Don! I hope mine turns out that nice! Did you prime it, or just spray away with the Autozone Ford Blue?
Thanks guys Paul, you may be right about the tie rods, I will peak under the car and see. I did not prime it first. Didnt see any under the factory paint so I let the spray fly.
Got to play a little while in the Man Cave today. I prepped and painted the oil pan bolts and installed the oil pan. Flipped the motor right side up This first pic might be something many of you do, I don't know but I though I would share it anyway. To make painting bolt heads easier, I cut an X in the top of a box and push the bolt into it. Then I can easily spray them and let dry. Here is the pan installed. And here flipped over.
