Gonna start on the Grabber spoiler when I get home. It shouldn't take too long to finish it. I was also planning on modeling the chrome "Maverick" logo tonight so I can put them on the fenders and the trunk lid.

Then I really need to start working on the interior of this car. I've been putting it off because I'm a bit nervous lol! :D I'll start with the bench seats, the regular steering wheel and column shifter. Then I'll move on to bucket seats, other styles of steering wheels, and various floor shifters.

Also, does anyone have a pic of the Stallion steering wheel? (Or at least, the one with the Stallion logo in it). My brother had one of those in his Mav and I thought it was awesome!

I'm planning on modeling that as well. I figure most of these cars don't have the lower chrome trim on the doors, so I'll make it an option in the final product. :yup:

    lookin' pretty good so far!

any chance we could talk about an SSD swap for a Mercury Comet GT front grill/hood design?

wouldn't need to be in a hurry since I'm over a year out for my paint work anyways.. and I know the majority rules with Mav's in greater numbers around here.

So I decided to work on creating a Comet out of the Maverick... Just need to create the grille and add the emblem.

Anyone got a good pic of the Comet emblem on the hood?

Thanks! Believe it or not, its actually not that hard once you get the hang of it. Patience is the key. It takes a long time. Heck it took me 3 hours to model the hood and bumper. And all I had to do was simply rework the Maverick ones.

I kept seeing the title of this thread but just never opened it and saw what it was about until this morning. After reading the entire thread all I can say is:

Added the grille to the Comet model. Just need to model the running lights and that'll be it for the front end of the Comet. :bouncy:

I think tomorrow I'll work on getting the 74-77 Maverick model done. All I really need to do is model the "park bench" bumpers and the fillers and that should about do it. Then on to the interior and chassis.

It's very possible that it was modeled with the same program. Kind of an interesting look to the Mav, I must say!

Thanks for the pic! That's perfect! (y)
