^^ Not sure if I can swing trading some shares in a Maverick.. but he works pretty hard for SSD trades. That much I do know. :yup:

I'm embarassed that I had to 'google' the term SSD. That's just how computer-literate I am.

And I was serious about hooking Brackenan up with a car. Maybe someone local has a decent body/shell, then parts from here and there, a couple of 'garage nights' with a few thousand feet of MIG wire every now and then. I'm not talking about a 10 second car here, I'm just sayin if everyone thought of something they had laying around, I bet between the 20,000+ of us, we could help him build one on the cheap/free?? I mean, OBVIOUSLY he is passionate about Mavericks/Comets, right???

Yeah, if Brackenan was close to my place, he'd have a ball as the car is pretty much torn apart. Ideal for modeling the parts.

Hi everyone! Hey I have pictures of the speedometer but I need a good picture of the gauge with fuel gauge and the turn signal indicators and idiot lights. Can anyone help me out?

Well I figure I should post an update... been awhile! I'm currently working on the dashboard. It's mostly finished and I'm almost done with the floor panel as well. Haven't had much time to work on it between work and crap at home. But I'm making some steady progress. Also got a new computer, and it's WAY faster than my old one. So far, it's the fastest computer I've ever seen. Makes it a lot easier to model and drastically decreases rendering times. (y)

If I remember, I'll post some pics tonight of the dashboard.

    Take care, everyone!! (y)

Just curious as to which computer you got and what are the specs.
    Thanks

Congrats on the new pc! :dancing:
Want even faster rendering times? Put 4 hdds into a array and do all rendering on the NAS (Network-attached storage). Even 5200 rpm hdds are amazingly fast...but buy the fastest you can afford or reuse what you have laying around even. I have 10,000 rpm raptors for rendering my projects.(y)

Actually, I built it myself. Overall, this awesome unit only cost me $470, considering I already had a case for it.

    Here are the specs:

    CPU: AMD FX-6200 Zambezi 3.8GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) 6-Core, 125W
    Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz (PC3 12800)
    Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 w/ 1GB DDR3 Ram
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 w/ USB 3.0 and AMD Chipset
Storage: 128GB OCZ Vertex 4 Solid State Drive (SSD)
---Also have 2 x 320GB Hard drives for storage.
Power Supply: ABS Majesty Series, 1100 Watt

Here's the dashboard thus far... The firewall may look weird but I'm not done with it yet.

You will need to model the headlight switch in order to turn the bulbs on!

Very true! (y) I plan on making the interior as detailed as I can get it. I just wish the 2 gauge pics I have there matched... One's more blue and the other's more yellow lol!

**And while I'm thinking of such things, does anyone have a pic showing the headliner in place?

**Also, I need some pics of the different styles of steering wheels from the front and sides. If someone has any pics of steering wheels or any interior parts and they want to send them to my email, it's
    brackenan@gmail.com. I'd really appreciate it!! :yup:(y)
