428 FE, engine without cutting the shock towers?????

I am having a hard time buying it that someone put a FE in a Maverick without doing work to the shock towers. I tried to drop a 360 from one of my trucks in one of my Mavericks, thinking it may be cool seeing as how a 360 is realtively easy to convert into a 390.
There was no way in hell it was going to fit, at least with the truck manifolds. If an FE does fit with headers, it would have to be rediculously tight.
