I give you some more perspective on top of that...
    The late 460s are dogs!
Imagine that 460 in a Mav, then give it a whole lot more power!

If its not, you'll know when to stop turning. My Mustang rubs on hard left turns, and after a few rubs I kinda learned not to turn so sharp. I was thinking of welding a stop on the spindles... and since its a drag car and not a driver, wasnt to worried about it.

    Looks great though! Awesome!

I love the idea of a BIG engine in a small car. What are you doing for unibody strengthening? Big torque will twist the unibody pretty fast unless you at least put in subframe connectors.

I wish I had pictures of the twisted remains of the Maverick that we stuffed a 390/4-speed into during the late 70's. Ran great until I dumped the clutch at about 4000 and popped the windshield out of the car. :yikes:

BTW, I have seen quite a few MII conversions done. The Rod and Custom kit is one of the best designed kits available. All of the MII kits loose some turning radius compared to stock, but they really help to tighten up the steering and improve the ride.

How is the ride height looking with the 460 in the car? Mine still sat pretty high.

with the stock spindles and bb springs from rod and customs the front was to high, i was surprised with the weight of the bb, so i now have a set of 2" lowered spindled and i cut a coil off the spring i will post a pic when it is back on the ground ..as long as the lower control arm is parrallel to the ground i will be all right....as for strenghtening up the chassis i will be adding to the cage and will make custom sub frame connectors to tie the car together i will post pics of that as well ....i am shooting to drive the car buy the end of august..i hope.....

Project has been on hold while i finish some other cars but i do have a question ..should i go with a power booster for the brakes or stay with a manual set up once i decide this i will build the drivers headers ..any feedback would be great.....Barry............................

the booster will eat up a little more room......that could be a deciding factor with header clearance?.....your call in the end though either way.;)

I'd go with a booster if possible.
