5.0 ho swap wiring recommendations or tips

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    On the 5.0 with exhaust manifolds are mounted near the outlet, on HO with headers will be in upper area of inlet to H-pipe... You'd be smart to weld the bungs after test fitting pipe with engine installed...

    As far as rough idle cold I call BS, when the engine is first started they aren't operating anyway...

    I was hoping someone had already done this and had a picture of theirs installed or where theirs was welded. Putting motor / trans and exhast in for a bung location is a huge PITA. Was just trying to avoid that if possible.

    I used the bulk of the Mark 7 harness in mine and several other pieces of salvage harnesses. Just added the MAF circuits later when I changed to an A9L Mustang PCM.
