Couldn't agree more with Goldenrod. My Maverick project gets driven every spring/summer/fall while I am saving money to tub it with a roll cage (hopefully next spring). I have good friends that have done this type of work so I will use their experience and assistance to save me from messing it up. After that I'll go back to driving it while saving for a 5 or 6-speed manual to replace my aging top loader and then back to saving for a new hot rod engine that I plan to do as much of myself. The goal is to always be able to drive it between working on it. I also like his advice of having a mental picture of what you want your car to look like eventually.
