after 72 the comp droped from like 9-9-1/2 to 8-8 1/2 they played with the chambers n the heads .... HP loss there...then the smog stuff choked them down more....was not just from going to net Hp that made them drop

This 74 Grabber we have with the 250 I6 ain't bad at all. It has decent power for what it is... Jumps right up to 50 mph in no time, up hill at that.

Of course, the real reason is because I put my magic touch on it, talked to it real nice (NOT!), and did a sacred horse power dance around the car. :biglaugh:

I don't know about fast enough around here, Lawerencville-suwanee is the georgia autobahn. Hmm how fast can we go without sliding off the road in the corners?:rofl:

My car felt faster with stock parts, better low end and much snappier throttle response, but it dropped off hard after 3000rpms.

It pulls pretty good up to 5000 now, just bolt ons, no internal mods... I still miss the silly low end it had with a Holley 600, Performer 289 intake and single exhaust... sunuvagun pulled, but didn't rev...

That's exactly how the '73 did. Didn't rev up, but it would suck you back in the seat. Not raw power, just snappy. I was VERY suprised. Preston
