Went with the Comp Cams 279 Thumper with .491 of lift. Don't remember the rest of the specs but it was pretty much as big as we could go considering stock converter and gears which will be upgraded eventually. We did put in a new stronger set of valve springs .

We got the shifter mounted and adjuste. Need to run wiring for the NS & backup lights and get it buttoned up.
We removed the front bumper getting ready to tuck it. Amy recommendations on the tuck? I'm thinking of 3.5"

We removed the front bumper to tuck it. Per some recommendations by others in the forum, we are going to simply going to use the other set of holes in the bracket and see how that looks.
We got the rear end lowered by a set of 1" lowering blocks. The car came with shackles and we moved them to the top bolt set of holes, which I guess would be close to what a stock setup would be and it dropped ALOT. In my haste, I neglected to get a measurement before and after :( I bolted up the 18" wheel we are going to use with the tire I had mounted as a mockup for the front on the rear, just to see how it would look.
Last night we removed the front coil springs and cut a full coil. The first side we did was a bit of a learning curve getting the spring compressor dialed in and after a couple tries, we got it dialed in. Compressed springs make me VERY nervous!!! The other side was a breeze. I measured the front before cussing the full coil and when done, the front dropped 1.5" which was less than the 2" I was hoping for. Thinking once we get the 100# of front bumper bolted back on, it should be about right.
Now we need to figure out the right size tire combo that will look the best.

We finally got around to getting the front bumper tucked. We took the simple approach and moved the brackets back to the other set of holes and cut the front off of the stone guard. The net tuck was 2.5"

I also took an idea A_Bartle posted up for an overflow reservoir and made a couple minor changes. It was super easy and looks a LOT better than the one that came ziptied behind the grill :smash:

Been awhile since I've posted any updates. Car is now on the road. Still need to button up a few loose ends. Fit the 18's on it which look pretty good IMO. Car desperately needs a set of lower gears and a posi :chirp: !!!!

Put 2.5" exhaust with Flowmasters on it. Here's a link to hear the car running.

Went with 225/45/18's in the front and 245/45/18's in the rears.
REALLY wanted something wider, but my local tire shop was struggling something fierce to find something they had in stock. That and they made me a smoking deal on the 245/45's that was too good to pass up :)

Wow, those are some tall tires. Didn't they have any 40s?

    'Looks good though.

Ya, they are a little tall. I wanted a little taller in the rears. But for 1/2 price ($100 ea) I was all over it. Turns out 18" tires aint cheap :yikes:
