74 Disc brake rotor size

    Intresting.. What I hate is when everything looks the same till you spend money and time and during instalation you discover the difference haha

    'Going from memory here; I know the holes for the tie rod ends are the same in diameter, but I seem to remember that the '75 disc brake spindle I used was thinner where the tie rod end attaches than on the '73 drum spindle, which made the eyelet for the cotter pin too far up above the top of the castle nut. A later model tie rod end solves this issue. Again, going off a foggy memory.

    I bought a set of...'75-'80 Granada 11"...rotors today....had the Guy look up.'75-'77 Maverick rotors and the # was the same...:yup: (I just gave him the 75-77 Maverick years)
    the Granada rotors were for my...Mustang II spindles...they are painted and mounted as of today...:thumbs2:

    How do you measure a tie rod? by the size of the hole in the spindle?

    my RC-107 rack N pinion kit came with spacers to make up for that...(y)

    The hole size is not the issue (they are all the same), It's the thickness of the casting, because the tie rod end stud (or whatever it's called) needs to be the correct length, or as Frank said, spacers can be used.
