Shrink the file and post it here. I'm curious too.

That was intended to be a compliment! 340 out of a 6 is something to applaud.

Logistically I doubt there is any way of moving your air breather assembly
to the center. Somewhere on this board someone posted a pic of a hood with
a scoop off center. Ever see a SVO hood with the bulge off center in
    the hood? How about those?

It's hard to say what other air cleaners would fit... Can you get a pic with your air filter off? Heck, maybe even measure from the log of the intake to the top "lip" of the carb where the air cleaner sits at.

You may end up haveing to put a bump in your hood, or you could put spacers under the back of the hood to raise it up some and gain some clearence. I believe someone else here has done that.

Much thinner air filter, with a drop base.

You got 340 horsepower out a stock style log intake? I wouldn't think they could begin to flow that much...

140HP maybe .... 340HP ... no way ... and I am not trying to make you feel retarded ... it's merely a simple fact that your engine is no wheres near that ...

Go post at http://www.fordsix.com and tell them you have 340HP and see what they have to say ... :)

I lifted my hood a bit, by putting 2" rubber "bumpers" under the back part, and 1/2" spacers between the hood and hinges. You could go bigger, but I didn't want an obnoxiously large space, just an inch or so.

Gives a "Cowl" effect, actually allows air to come in over the radiator, over the intake, and out the top for a cooler charge.

I can fit anything under my hood now, still no touching. Currently, I have a 4bbl Edelbrock sitting on top of a 2" open spacer, with Edelbrocks wierd looking triangular filter (which is pretty low, you may want to try it if you can find one that fits your carb). You can see the small spacer at the back of my hood if you look closely.

Hope one or more of these suggestions helps.

hey I'll ask the guy how he worked it. Once again I'm not sure what work he put into it. I'm taking his word for it. I saw it and had an opportunity to buy so I did. I'll email you a picture of it without the filter on.

scooper right now my hood looks just like yours to fit my filter. I'm not really a big fan of it even thought it allows for more air.
