Alternative to the Taurus fan

    Yes the escort fan is dual speed. The fan comes from the 1997 to 2001 ford escort/mercury tracer. All of the fans in those years of the cars are the same, they are just a pain in the but too get out of the car.

    It really isnt rocket science doing this upgrade. I imagine there are dozens of fans set up you can make fit our rads. So long as it fits and moves a lot of air your good to go. Figure out a controller for your needs, get it set right and your rid of that big metal spinner of death. LOL.

    That's the main reason I wanted to go to the elec fan. Actually, I read recently the engine driven fans are more efficient. The folks who make the elec fans even admit it. I can't recall exactly where I read it, but it was this week. I feel the steel monsters are an accident waiting to happen, esp. for those cars that have no shroud. All it takes is a blink of the eye, loss of concentration, and oop's goes a finger, hand or worse. Im stickin w/ the elec whatever the final configuration...
