Are you on high speed Internet or dial up? Do you use any web accelerators?

Cable internet, into a wireless router, but wired to the back of the router. Anna uses a wireless connection on her laptop in the other office.

I have opened 5 threads and posted on 2 of them, and had it happen 4 times already. Even had to back all the way out to Technical on the tree before I could get back to the thread, and found that my post went through, even though it went to blank screen when I tried to send my reply.

I my try Anna's computer for a while and see if it does it there...

It just does it on this forum, for me. Not fark, weather.com, my surf cameras, etc...:hmmm:

No problems using Anna's laptop on wireless off the same router, so not a router or Cable problem, apparently. She has IE6 on WinXP...

I will try my laptop. Using firefox on win2k...

No problems on my laptop. Either. No wine, so that is not the problem:D

I am on my laptop wired directly to the router, just like my desktop. Only difference is Firefox 1.0 on laptop, Firefox 1.5.0.9 on the desktop.

I will try to uninstall 1.5.0.9 and reinstall with 1.0 and see if it fixes it...

Also, pages load up much faster on both of the laptops, even though my desktop is P4-3.0G, 1G ram, and 256Mvideo, and much faster than either laptop.

It has to be the firefox.

Anyone else using this version of firefox and not having problems?

I found a newer version of Firefox, 2.0.0.1, and after a quick 5 minute jaunt, it has not given me an error yet, and again, it is a bit faster.

Stefan, I will PM you if I have any other problems with this, but I think it is just some glitch between the forum and that version...

Great news, I was starting to think it was the boxed wine.

Take a look at these great themes available for FF

No problems here so far, although I haven't had much time to get on lately. I really like all the new features, especially where you upload attachments.

Well, Just did it again...I tried to send a PM by clicking on the guy's name, and it took me about 8 click forward-click backs before it let me have anything but a blank screen.

BUT, the rest of the forum is working smoothly now...So I will live with it.

Mine, after upgrading to Firefox 2.0.0.1.

Opens new tabs fine, now, but if I try to PM someone with the pulldown menu on their name, it goes to blank.

The rest of the "dead links" appear to have been fixed with the firefox upgrade, so I am pretty sure it is an issue with the browser on my computer.
