There is no way a 4 3/4" back space will work on a stock rear. The rear you have must be wider.

Great pics Ray. Ive been wanting to see some good closeups of yours for a while. I think you just convinced me to go with an 8" wheel.

I posted a pic of my Mav on another link

    http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=8648&highlight=cut+coils

15x 8 with 4 inch backspace. 275/60's rear 215/70 14's front Stock width rear end (built 9" that is same width as stock rear) The rear lip is rolled almost back on itself in the center. Basically looks like Rays on the inside. I also cut the bump stops off the frame for more clearance on the inside. Rear end travel is limited by an adjustable pinion snubber. I assure you that the wheel goes up into the fenderwell a good 3 inches on launch.

It can be doon but it will yake some work & new wheel studs. My rear wheel is 17x9 with 5 inch backspace. The front is 17x8 with 4.5 inch backspace. the front was fine for me but I could not put a 245/45 on the front like most have done. It was to wide. The back was a more trouble. The wheels studs was to short to get the lugs on tight. The rim was circles were the lugs go in was to deep in there, I had to use a deep socket in an extension. Plus the 5 inch backspace hits the leaf.
