When I put the exhaust on the Sprint Maverick, I plan on going the Flowmaster 50 route with an H pipe and probably 2 or 2 1/4 " exhaust. That system sounds excellent on the Mustang Sprint and the Dk Aqua XR7 conv I am currently putting back together from getting painted.

I have Flowmaster 40's with h pipes on both the black XR7 htp and the '73 Gold Glow Stang conv. That is my favorite system. It is throatier and has the best sound. I listen to those mufflers all the way to Ky with no radio on when I take the black cat up there, only way to travel!!

I also have cherry bombs on the white conv. I have gotten many compliments on it's sound. It has a deeper sound than the Flowmasters. Of course, all of my systems are with 351 engines, but I still think they would sound great with the 302's, too. It's all good.

My Comet has 40 series flowmasters 2 1/2 pipes (too big for the little 302)and turndowns. No stink inside the car interior noise is minimal very tolerable. Here's some cips inside and outside.

Seriously you think thats loud??? My 64 pick up will completely drown out my Comet at idle not to mention at full song.. This is the only vid i have of my truck 3" 40 series Flows with a 460.The Malibu in the Vid has 3.5 inch exhaust with 40 series flows, and the Camaro has 3" with Dynomax turbo style.
While driving the Comet "normal" i can listen to the radio and talk to the person next to me without yelling. The same can't be said for the truck.
