i have cheater slicks as well.... i went and got my car emissions and registered the other day.. and i had no traction going to and from.. every corner i was breaking free... wondering why.. then looked at tires and was like.. oh.. that explains it... lol yeah.. going to iowa.. i think i should get some tires... hmm.. whattya all think?
How do you obtain Nitrogen to inflate tires...Not something that most of us can get easily, is it? I have heard that it is a better inflator, but I don't have ready access to it.
nitrogen is available here at any welding supply shop. but you have to get a tankful and then you need a regulator for it. not sure it's worth the cost and hassle. now if you had someone that used it in there shop you could probably make a deal. maybe you could ask at the welding shop who their customers are, if they handle it.
I don't know about your area, but most of the chain tire stores in San Diego area now offer Nitrogen inflation when you buy new tires. Even places like Costo, Walmart, etc are offering it here. Costs a couple of bucks extra but not unreasonable.
Maybe in CA, but probably not in TX. Will look around, since I will be buying new tires soon (about a week after i install the line-lock :evilsmile )
Scooper......just go buy some tires. No burnouts, no slinging treads off, nothing ignorant. Just go buy tires.

DAMN!!! Someone came and hit me upside the head in my sleep last night Don't worry, guys, I won't do anything stupid. Even though I keep reading about guys taking their tires out and burning them out until they blow...I can only imagine what that rubber does to the fenders when it lets loose. My dad had 2 tires go out at the same (after rotating the tires back in the early days of steel belted radials) and it folded both fenders up under the van. Never was able to get it straight after that, and the steel belts ate up into the paint and steel, etc. Nasty sight. I learned from that experience. Bad thing is we were halfway between nowheres, and had to stop and pull the tread off and keep on driving, since we only had one spare. I learned lots of new words that day. I think I was 6 or 7, and dad enlightened me with a whole new vocabulary
