In technical terms what seperates Small block from Big Block has nothing to do with cubic inches. In fords it is weather the block is shaped like a Y or a V. The cleveland is in between and has been debated either way. Tha's a fact:idea:

    Just having fun guys.............:rofl2:

I personally could care less what makes a big block Big and a small block small
Just adding fuel to the fire and you took the bait:D

What I gave you was the difference between a Y and V block nothing more nothing less. and yes the cleveland has been debated as both Y or V

Honestly I was just answering in jest because I do not know the true anwer to the question.

If I was being serious I would have taken the time to explain my theory.

look at the Balance rear slick threads for an example of me being right and explaining why;)
I don't know everything but I have spent the last 15 years dedicated to the Auto Repair/fabrication business. I am only 30. Here are some credentials

I spent 3 years apprenticing part time(read no pay) in an Automotive Machine Shop
    Red's machine shop.
I dynoed and tuned engines with Red(who was an awesome engine builder but a bit looney, ended up killing himself RIP brother)
Did assembly/disassembly matched parts for performance

I am an ASE master tech with advanced Engine Diagnostics.
    I have many Manufacturing certificates
    A small list
    Moog
    Monroe
    KYB
    Spicer
    Cooper
    Mickey Thompson
    Yokohama
    Suspension Specialty products
    Toyo Tires
    Evap systems
    Performance suspension Enhancements

    What does that all mean?
Nothing I still have lots to learn but it does show dedication to my chosen trade.

I tend to not give advice on these kind of sites.......
First I am not the best teacher
Secondly Some old guy always thinks he know more than the young pup:rofl2:(and sometimes they do) :D
I could name 20 guys here that I would trust thier knowledge and not think twice about it. Some older ,some younger.

Now where did my pants go?

I don't care if you're 300 years old and have 250 years in the auto industry, coming on to a board and acting like a know-it-all just reveals maturity level.

That said, I'm guilty myself...I admit it! So there ya go. We all have our moments;)

    And I've such elegant taste.
    They call me Mr. Knowitall.

if I should find the time.
    I must be Mr. Knowitall
For ideas they come in bounds.
    I am Mr. Knowitall
    So spread the word around.
    They call me Mr. Knowitall
    I am so eloquent.
    Perfection is my middle name
    And whatever rhymes with eloquent.
