If you put that grabber hood on do the small bumpers for sure. If not the big bumpers are not bad, although I like the small ones myself.

Being the owner of a 73, I'm partial to them. but tucked.

How much work is it to tuck those '73 bumpers in since i'm leaning towards that route.

Small all the way. Anything else is a compromise.

I voted that YOU use big bumpers, so there will be 2 more small bumpers out there for ME to buy and install...

Yes, I already have small bumpers, but both need to be rechromed, and the ones you will find, but don't want because I told you to stick with the big bumpers...I will buy those:clap:

See i'm sorta funny on this one too. I like the small bumpers...... but i still like the big bumpers and yes they can be done to look good too. Yes my park benches stick out way to much but i have seen them on other Mavericks and Comets that looked cool too.

I'm thinking about keeping my big bumpers, at least in the front, but tucking and shaving them and hacking weight out where I can. 89 pounds is about what the last 4x4 bumper I built weighs, and that thing's hit a power pole hard enough in reverse that the CD player in my truck flew out of the dash (wet shoes, worn clutch pedal and not enough sleep).

Here's a 'shopped rendering of my idea (hope you don't mind borrowing your photo rthomas, can't find my camera to do it on my car). Might or might not fill the holes in the center.

I've seen the tucked bumpers on Bob's car in person. It looks good!
