I know what...why don't you get out of bed early tomorrow morning and drive down the road and come back and tell us. That way we won't have to wait till you get home Monday afternoon to know if they will stay or not.
Led's It looks gud- be nice if u can get the tach blue to. Before u go anywhere >> U may want to buy some gas>>LOL. I did not have much problem getting my heater controls out. I painted the inside (bulb) housing gloss white and I think the control lettering is to bright. If I did it again I wud use flat or at least semi. It's not a big deal cuz those letter are so small I can't half a$$ see them anyway.
I undid the three screws in front under the face and slid it all out through the gauge hole. Used a needlenose plier to get the plug back in after I lowered the vent control lever all the way down. I cussed and cussed before I figured it out.
You did all of that just to change the bulb? Why not do what I did and reach up behind the cluster and turn the lamp socket to remove the socket from the cluster and pull out the old bulb. It took me about 2 or 3 minutes to change all my light bulbs to W5W including the side markers.
Because I had to remove the cluster to reset the heater control light socket in it's hole. When I started this project the first thing I did was try to change the bulb in my controls. When I did the socket pushed through. It is impossible to reset that socket unless you remove the cluster, loosen the controls and pivot them to face you. I wonder if my idiot lights would be purple if...
Hi Jeff, I have question on the W5W's. What advantage do they have in the cluster? I used 194's to replace mine. Are these brighter? I assume they have the same socket as the 194's?
