It does look better with the entire panel painted....:yup:

I might do that. Cool thing with painting is if you don't like it, you can paint it again.

I used Rustoleum from a spray can. Looks really good up to about six feet, then you can see that I really didn't prep it before shooting. I just wanted to get it all one color (or two) until I can afford to finish the bodywork and prep it for a decent paint job.

And, I agree, it does look kinda "busy" back there. I was just experimenting with the black bumpers, then put on the lights. Then tried the spoiler, but I think that was too much. Might end up with black panel and lights, then body colored bumpers and spoiler like above...

That is the main reason why I haven't painted it yet...just can't figure out what color(s) I want it to be.

That is the Brazilian version in case someone doesn't know. I'm not crazy about them. Looks too much like a 71-73 Mustang.

I just thought it was kind of funny how similar they were to the 79 Pinto lights NEWTOFORD posted.Has anyone eliminated the back up lights on a set of Bobcat lenses? I think that would really clean up the look of them, and install a set of early Mustang/Cougar back up's in the valance. Photoshop anyone?? I suck at it.

if i wanted bobcats without the backup light i'd just buy an extra set of maverick lights and so some cutting. probably cheaper that way

Yup...same car. Started out as my wife's great grandmother's grocery getter and church transport. She did all the damage by driving a couple years later than she should have. Then it sat in a garage for 12 years with only 48k miles on it. Then I pried it from the family's hands and started working on it. and breaking it...:D
