The seats that I purchased as shown in the picture are obviously standing by themselves and not falling over .. so at this point .. I'm not sure what year they are .... Hopefully ... They bolt right in and I have no issues. I also purchased a 4-door rear LDO seat also in very nice condition. I plan on using the back of the seat as is ... I'm pretty sure it is the same as a 2-door seat back. For the bottom ... I am gonna have an upholstery shop remove the cover from the 4-door seat bottom - modify it and put it on my current 2-door seat bottom.
Dan, the 4-doors have the same floor pans back to at least the front seats, so the converter is in the same place. It's possible early '75 didn't have a converter. I usually associate your tan LDO buckets with integrated headrests in that style to be '73-'74's. Yes, Jerry, I think that might work by removing the "leg" on the inside. You might still have to do just a little shimming. As you can see in the picture, the track is flush to the frame of the seat.
If those seats are out of a 4-door you wont be able to flip them up so someone can get in the back unless it doesn't matter.
Nah ... doesn't matter ... I choose quality of convenience! FYI ... Here is a set of 73 LDO buckets that sold on eBay yesterday ... Look the same to me ....
HEY ...THOSE ARE MINE ! :bananaman I should say just the tracks are. I made a deal with this guy for less then the bid amount, as all I wanted was the seat tracks and all the mounting hardware. He is free to sell the rest of the seats to somebody else, and I think he has a buyer already. Worked out well for everyone. And yes Dan, I think you are getting pre-cat seats from the way they look. Your seller might have been wrong on the year.
I don't know about this whole "some 75s didn't have cats, therefore the seats should work" thing going in this thread. I have an early 75 that never had a cat... ever. It does however, have a great big converter hump. Dave
