You have to adjust the hinges...Raise em up at the back a tiny bit and see how it sits.

When messing around initially I had raised the hinges as high as they will go with no effect. Do you mean i have to "tilt" the hinges?

Yes... Tilt the rear of the hinge up at its mount point. What is the problem...Hood sits too low at the cowl I am guessing???

Yes, this is the issue. I'll adjust it after work tomorrow and see how it looks.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    looks good.:thumbs2:

just do as they said it will line up fine. ;) takes some fine tuning. unlike new cars where you just throw the hood on. maverick have like 5 bolts on each side that need adjusting. ;)

As was said you can adjust the hinges (rotate the base plate), but the bumpers do make a big difference too. Without them the back of your hood will drop when it starts to open and try to catch the cowl. I finally got some new ones in July and man I can open my hood without sweating now. :)

I got my Grabber hood from Derrick last week. As we have all seen, it is of the highest quality, and arrived undamaged due to his careful packing and shipping.

He only has a few of these left, so get 'em while he is running his "closeout" sale!

Pictures are shown on my unfinished Maverick, and the hood is only laid in place as the motor is coming out and the old hood was already removed for the transplant.

img_8155_original.jpg :tiphat: Thanks Maverickman for making such great hoods! Carbon fiber is beautiful, and the fit is great. :thumbs2:
(My hood might still need to be adjusted a bit, but not bad for puttng it on all by myself. I am still amazed that I did that without calling any mechanic friends over to help me. :p)
