I can't tell from the pictures if the underside is smooth or not, that is why I asked. Why would you use a rusted out Grabber hood to make a mold? The hood lip molding area is a very important part of the hood. Is there an area to screw the hood lip molding to just like the factory hood? If I pay over $800 for a hood with shipping I do not want to have to duct tape up some holes where the snorkles are. I would have spent the extra $50 and did it right.

the frame is smooth the bottom of the hood is not...

why use that hood? cuz no one would give me a hood to do so ;) the only thing that involved mounting the lip is screws. you can screw into the fiberglass no big deal.

as far as the scoop holes... more people wanted it them functional... well as functional as holes will do.... and think it should be too.

and as i said "if" you are worried about getting water in it then tape it. but as far as i'm conserned if your going to get that much water in it at all. i drive a new gto with open hood scoops the factory didn't worry about it so i don't worry about it. :) think of it this way it is no differant then a cobra jet scoop with a hole in it. i think somone just posted something about that. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=34239

as far as "you" would spend $50 or up to $800 for the whole hood.... but i'd have to spend 100 times that $50 just to get the injection mold done. NOT worth it! ;) either way if i could afford made in plastic the scoops would still be funtional.

yes e-mail me everything as well too... address phone number etc... and let me know when you pay pal it. my pay pal is my address. or like i said i'll send the one that i have now if you want it ;) btw that will look bad ass on that yellow car!!!!

    thanks!

Derrick, that is absolutely fantastic. You are a risk taker and definitely, an entrepreneur. You've got big brass ones to be willing to make this kind of investment in time and money. My hat is off to you, Sir.:tiphat:

From all appearances, it looks awesome. :thumbs2:

I too would like to see someone paint the hood and leave the carbon fiber as the Grabber stripe.

Good luck on the sales - I'll look for order placements on Ebay soon!

    You could make....well, you know...

yeah no kidding... let see how long it will take till we see it on e-bay... i'm just being careful on who takes photos of it now... right now it is not leaving my garage... lol!
