    Ummm a oldie...

    All the flapper was for was to prevent us who were sure unleaded was inferior to leaded fuel(octane wise it was), from inserting the larger leaded nozzle in the opening... There were little plastic adapters sold that allowed fueling with regular leaded in the small opening... Yeah I had three or four of the things...
