WOOT!! gives me an excuse to kick out neighborhood teens also!!! well play tourismo or battlefield2 on the big TV blocking it up and stand around talking about mavs to no end with the stereo blasting and yelling over it till the wee hours of the morning!!!!

 

I dont think you can avoid issues as a forum grows. I dont really see too many problems on here compared to other forums I've been on for different topics. This is one of the better ones. I generally dont pay any attention to posts that are ignorant or aggressive. Guys will have different opinions and guys will argue. I like this forum. Its active compared to others. They get boring with a few threads a week.

Wow ... looks like I missed something. I never look at Off Topic section either... I just come here for Mav/Comet content ...
maybe that is the answer ... change the channel .... life is too short, too many things to do.

From my perspective, I feel that this is great board populated by a bunch of great folks.

The endless "Comets are parts cars" statements, that seemed to be present for a while, made that handful of posters look like 3rd graders in my eyes.
Once, funny ... twice, less funny, ... three times, Ok, getting old ... 12th time, hmmm, got any new material there, Henny Youngman?
... still overall ... easy enough to totally ignore ...

Only bored people with too much time on their hands can devote the energy to an online debate ...

If there is a poster that seems out to pick a fight with anyone all the time, it is much simpler to ban them if the history warrants it.

 

The Comet guys took it all in striide and laughed with us and thrown insults back...it breaks up the everyday "help me" topics and adds a little humor to the forum, its never meant to be insulting, if someone gets offended by some simple fun then User CP -> Edit Ignore List and you'll never have to read another post by them

A majority of the people who sits in this topic and say how bad its getting has obviously never been on many other forums(Im not talking about forums populated by teens, Im talking about grown men there), as this is the best forum Ive ever been on...jokes get thrown around, some people get mad at others, disputes happen, but throughout all of it the members here has maintained a lot of maturity and respect even throughout the most heated disputes...you guys have no idea how good you have it here.

 

Yeah, I took it in stride, too, but when it goes on for a solid month the way it did, ... about the 47th time you hear it out of the same person, it makes you wonder if they have any creative thoughts at all. Like I said, they start sounding like a third grader ... it was excessive.

 

Wow, we've been saying that for years.....

I guess I'm one of the guys you are talking about. Sorry if I said something you didn't like. I just try my best to keep a little humor amongst the board. We certainly need it. If the truth be known I'd love to have a nice Comet GT, just don't tell Gene. Look, we're going to always joke around here, at least as long as I am here. I try not to offend or make anyone mad. Don't need any enemies. Please take it in stride if we joke around a bit. It's only to get a laugh , not make anyone mad. Have a great weeken!!!
