Dont get so excited. When you drink you sometimes forget to finish your sentences. I meant it to say: I'd love to have a nice comet gt to part out!!! :yup:

Agreed. Thats what I was trying to get across. I dont see the problems on here like other forums I've been on. You should see the one fishing forum. Locked threads are the norm. I got so sick of it I cancelled my account even though its the best info site for Lake Ontario fishing. This forum here is real easy going. Maybe I'm just oblivious and ignore the junk????

This pretty much covers how I feel about it. Come for the Mav/Comet chat, stay for the fellowship. I'd hate to see this board go tech-only. I enjoy the banter, and although it gets a bit silly sometimes, it find it's really easy to just not read the things I'm not interested in. As for hostility and lack of respect, yeah, you guys have no idea... The whole Internet is a cesspool. It may not be the good ol' days around here anymore, but this is still the best forum on the web. I challenge anyone to show me a place with a better balance of quality information and fertile ground for making friends with people who share your hobby. Few may come close, but all will fall short.

No problem here with bantering... I have always said that Mavs are great parts cars for my Comets.

It was the concentrated frequency of that statement (seemed like it was in every thread somehow a couple months ago ...) that grew tiresome...

If a minor irritation is my biggest problem here, that still makes this one of the best places online to hang out at. :thumbs2:

Reminds me a lot of a hobby board that I used to be very active at. All great guys there too. I think it also has to do with how specialized the two boards are. When you all share such a close focus, it tends to make you a lot closer knit.

    Ray,
We're good. No worries. I look forward seeing you and your Mav again in Jan at Silver Springs if you are able to make it this year.

I also agree. I enjoy coming here for the fun as well as the technical help. If this was a technical only board, I doubt that I would be here daily. The post count would fall dramatically and it wouldn't be near as fun.
I've also been a part of other boards and find this is a very calm and fun place. The others are full of flames, locks, and language.

You can tell by my post count over the period of my membership that I basically come here for the technical aspect of the site. I think it's funny when people come to a CAR site to ask what they should name there Dog or how to resolve problems with there wife. I also realize it's just my opinion and you know what those are like!!:D

I think that's part of why this board works so well. I would definitely not be here daily if I only showed up when I needed technical help, and I imagine it would be the same for most of the other MMB junkies. Not a big deal really, except when we're not here, we're not answering anybody's questions...
