I found a spare lug in my tool box and stuck it up to a tape measure...it was pretty close to 1/2" from tip of thread to tip of thread. Is this how you measure them?

Ahh i rember those unilug days, WAIT im glad those days are gone, I hated those wheels. They are probaly the best looking wheels to put on a Maverick, but ill take second best to not have to fool with the UNIA** lugs.

I love the look, and once you screw up a couple of lugs, you get the idea on how to install them correctly.

Be sure to take the tires off BEFORE you go have a tire shop work on them. They will put the wheel on, run one lug on with an impact, then when the second goes on, it will bind and strip, then the third, etc.

I had to finally tell some guy to back off when I walked in and he was fighting with the third lug. I told him to give me the impact and let me install them. He had stripped two lugs because the wheel wasn't centered. Luckily, we were across the street from AutoZone so I bought an entire set of new lugs and drove home on the remaining 3 good ones and swapped them all out.

The rims I race on are NOT unilugs.

I never allow anyone near my wheels with an impact gun. I always tell them up front that I want them to use a torque wrench set to 80 lb ft.
