PS. That was a old panaramic pic that I had to crop in order to get it to download, that's why the Fairlane is cut off.

I can do just the brackets .... they are from a 71 Comet GT and include the additional support that Mavericks did not have. I will also throw in the front license plate holder if you want it ... It also looks much different than one for a Maverick ...

Send me a PM ... How does $40 plus shipping sound? I say they will weigh in at about 10-15 lbs ...

Comet155....your car looks great! Can't wait to see it in person. I don't work on Friday & Sunday. I usually drive my 70 Grabber to work. Once in awhile (sunny day) I drive the Sprint or Comet. I drive a 92 Taurus wagon on Saturday sometimes. I park in front of the shop (Midas). Hope to meet you soon....Hey, Ray! I'll mark my calendar for the 18th....I'll do a dance, for no rain....LOL

Yes. Lets all do the no rain dance.
I just made some drag pipes for the Maverick the other day and I'm curious to see how it sounds making a pass.
3" pipes coming out at the middle of each door. Allows me to remove almost 100lbs (guess) of exhaust. Sounds very scary.

Been there a couple times. Used to hit the A&W on 162nd and 99. Sorry to see them go belly up.
I don't know about the 18th. It's looking wet next week. Might have to weasel out. :hide:

We're a week out here. No backing out on account of weather yet.:tsk:
Besides, one of us will be borrowing a truck, renting a trailer and driving three hours to make it.

Dan, what you want for that bumper? I'll be looking for a decent one very, very soon, and I can come pick it up.

Ray! I met Comet155 today. He came by my work. He has a very nice Comet. Glad to see someone else, besides me, fix up a 73 Comet. I have to tell ya, I think he will give you a little competition at the track.....Someday, I will too....LOL

Not much danger of giving Ray any competition. If i'm real lucky, I might hit 12.99 with the sauce on and a good tail wind (14.8 without). Rays probably pushin 11.50's or so.
    Hee-hee! :49:

We should race side by side. I run in the high 14's on street tires. Sounds like it could be a good side by side race....as long as you don't hit the juice.....LOL Ray runs in the low 12's.....

Yeah, that would be a kick in the pants.
Heck, I could race Ray if I bolted on a 200 hp juice unit.....of course with cast pistons...that shoud be good for about 1 pass! s! ss! sss!
    :p

That's great you two met each other. I can't wait until next week so we can all get together. as far as how I'm going to run, I've made several changes so we'll see. maybe I'll be faster, maybe I'll be slower. Either way I can't wait to get there.
