For the record I wasnt refering to you, all I was saying is that I didnt want this to turn into another import flame thread, and it looked like it was heading in that direction so I figured I'd say something before it ended up like the last thread this vid was posted in.

 

The car looks like garbage, period. I'm tired of these worthless threads. It's not bashing, it's whining. There is no "common ground" here. I know in a prefect world, no one would have an opinion on anything and it would be filled with political correctness. Sorry, that's not how it is. I know people who think we are all stupid for wasteing our time screwing with these little old throw away Mavericks. That's their opinion, I respect it, and I don't try to find some common ground with them that dosen't exist. I own three Honda's.

I'm sorry if a few of the comments made on this thread have offended some of the other members.But what it all boils down is that this is a MAVERICK! forum there for it is a direct relation to a FORD forum.I'm sure if people were on the Honda Civic forum bragging up Mavericks and Fords they would get quite a bit of negitive response.And by the way didn't Jamie say he owns 3 or 4 Hondas himself.It annoys me when people don't read the entire post just skip across it then they feel they have somthing to say.

 

I was in no way bragging about my honda, I said nothing of the sort in this thread. I was not the one who posted up the vid of the maverick getting beat by a honda either, so back off. Just think of it as being on a honda web site and out of nowhere (unprovoked) they started to talk smack about mavericks/comets, I wouldnt just set there and let it go undsaid, just like I wouldnt let someone talk about my other cars and not say anything about it. I could understand someone talking about crap about my car if I were setting here bench racing saying it would beat any maverick on the face of this earth, but stuff like this gets started for no reason.

 

Woh woh woh!!!,i think things are getting a little out of hand here.Let see if this can be explained a little better.The problem doesn't lie with the car but more so the owners,the ''TUNER KIDS''.Back in the day hot rodders were looked down on as dirty law breaking rebels.Much like the the kids with the tuner cars are today.But the difference is most hot rodders or muscle car enthusiests now don't all drive like Mario Andretti or John Force on public roadways,sure there are a few and i'm not saying i'm innocent i have done the odd non called for burnout now and again.But here in Ontario there have been over 100 deaths in street racing related accident all of them involving import cars,not one that involved a domestic.I don't think there is anyway to smooth this thread over so thats it i tried to reason i'm out.
