doesn't this look like too much room to be a 351

Nice enough car but I think I would have at least tried to clean the footprints off the carpet before taking the pictures.

Those vintage valve covers are very short and give the engine a lower profile appearance. Problem is that the covers are so short that you can't really run good valvetrain parts under them.

A couple of thoughts after looking at the auction...

    1) I think the bright/light color add the illusion of more room than is really there.

    2) This particular car is one of those that the seller 'tried too hard' so to speak. They put a bunch of 'flash' on the car in hopes to turn it for profit. None of the work there is the quality work of a car someone meant to keep. It was done quickly and cheaply to make the car look flashy as possible for the least money/effort.

Always be leary of a car for sale that has just been painted. Paint is expensive, and if it was done just to sell a car, it was usually done just well enough to hide a bunch of problems. Also, painted bumpers are a dead giveaway of hidden problems IMO. If the paint and body were done right, they would have taken the time to get decent bumpers too.

This car has been for sale many times before on ebay so it isnt like a month fresh paint job but yes they more then likely painted it to hide stuff. Looks like a restortation shop owns it.

Nice looking car, The shifter looks like an original '72-'73 Mustang one, same as the one in my '73 Stang. Only made them 2 years with the round handle, rare shifter.
