So these were the hose ends I got that attach to the rubber hose which is rated at 250 psi but according to one reply by a summit tech person it's not listed nor advertised as fuel lines.

This is what I got instead, hose ends that just push into a nylon braid hose, summit brand.

The bill for the hose ends and hoses was $355.
The bill for the aluminum hose and other fittings and fuel filters was another $300 or so.

since I already have the EFI intake with those injector bongs welded on, can I just install that one and somehow plug those bongs without too much hassle? It would help because that's one less step I have to do in order to get the car ready for EFI....and seeing as to how every time I pull my oil drain plug on the engine I find new interesting pieces I'm sure it won't be long before I have to pull the intake again....

next things on the list, wiring harness and sensors. Any recommendations? The wiring harness we were thinking of sourcing from a donor mustang....
Bry mentioned that the sensors shouldn't be too pricey (throttle position, water temp, air temp), are there any brands that are more recommended than others....

any thoughts on best source of engine harness? maybe an explorer? we were thinking of individual coils....megasquirt 3 should be able to handle that....

If you are running individual coils make sure you use the MS3x daughterboard, that is about the only way you will make the individual coils work without a bunch of extra nightmarey work, http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/megasquirtiii-ms3x-expansion-card-p-434.html
Its even setup to work with a external map sensor so you can use the internal unit as a barometric sensor

But if you are going to go the route with a megasquirt why dont you buy the wiring harnesses from DIYautotune?
The wires are already individually labled all you do is position them and cut them to length.

    Here is the main harness

    Here is the MS3x harness

That's interesting, cause Russell brand TwistLok is OK for fuel up to 250psi.

Notice the red collar is just pushed on, not screwed on. The black fitting version, although, does not use the collar.

but you see, it doesn't mention that it's for fuel...at least I don't see it.

So I don't need a wiring harness with all the connectors? I can get the connectors separate?

I missed that...I guess the summit one just isn't fuel compatible. Wish I had seen this, probably would have been much easier to work with this. But at least the braided stuff I got wasn't too expensive.

I freaked when you said the TwistLok was not for fuel, because I am planning my whole fuel system to be TwistLok. Guess I just need to be sure to stick with Russell or atleast check to make sure it is fuel compatible. The braided stuff works fine too, my Mustang is plumbed with it. :yup:

can I just control fuel flow with my MS3 for now and set it up for ignition control at a later time? So basically have it control the injectors and cont with my current distributor/6Al2 ignition?

Yes you can you can get new plugs for everything from the IAC valve too the Injectors

    http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/460-piece-weather-pack-kit-p-379.html

    http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/fuel-injector-connector-bosch-ev1-p-111.html

Yes you can control the injectors with just the MS3. The other option if you wanted too wait on the SEFI setup and wanted the distributorless ignition is you can run a wasted spark setup on just the MS3.

You can either setup an EDIS module running off of a crank trigger, or you can use an explorer module to activate your ignition sequence. Either by a ford EDIS module or activated by the MS3 unit itself.
