yes indeed i guess i m in for a lot of research to find out the scoop behind the puple maverick to bad i dont run the detroit winter swap meet any more could have found someone at ford to maybe help in the research.

I just thought of this. You can try the "999" report. It is suposed to be free and tell you all bout your car. It is similar to the Marti report but free. I have heard that it takes some time and may be only for Dearborn built cars but I don't know for sure. The deluxe Marti report should tell the story though. Jus Google 999 report and something should come up on where to go or who to call to get it. Being a Maverick it will be hard to find things out unless there is an official record. Hopefully this helps!

Call them.

They ususally run special request stats for a fee. It may not be posted on your Elite Marti Report. I have seen many different items listed on them.

 

It kind of looks like the same color purple as these 1969 Cougars.

Poke around on that site, it talks about the paint being called "Purple dawn" PPG number 50785.
