I was pulled over for that . Only it was bacause I wrote "Happy 10th Q102" on my back glass. I was trying to win concert tickets. Led to my getting arrested for failure to show proof of ins down in Austin 3 years prior. 5 police cars in front of my house at 2am with spotlights lol. Long story but yea.. "Obstruction of view" is what the officer said.

For a drag car, yes. Street car, no. One of the best at the time designs for a drag car, not sure if it's still as popular now.

I'm glad I don't live in a state that harasses you about "sight obstruction", "exhaust not past door", "altered ride height" and other BS like that. If I did, I think I'd move.....The 69 Camaro that I helped a buddy build with the tunnel ram , two fours and chrome shotgun scoop stuck thru the hood a foot or foot and a half, nobody ever said a word about "sight obstruction".

sight obstruction haha. If a cop pulled me over for Obstruction of view I would say. "Slap that fine on me when I actually hit somebody."

I had the shorter version of that scoop on my V8 Pinto back in the early 80s. Eventually I ended up just running the top part on the hood.
