the caltracs bars wont hurt handeling. they actually help. the alum front bushing used in the leafspring drasticly cuts down on the leafsprings deflection. this gives faster turn in responce.

The concern I have with any drag racing device on the rear is that they are made to load the rear tires and this unloads the front on acceleration. They are not intended to aid in turning, but to keep a car going straight. They also can be a problem in hard braking as they are now acting in an oppostite load direction then they are intended. Because of my limited smarts on this, I sent a note to Calvert Racing to ask these questions. http://calvertracing.com/index.php

Here is what the guys at Cal-Tracs say. I stand corrected

It's optional to run the sway bar. We normally remove the sway bars for weight savings. The Cal-Tracs will improve the cornering ability to where you probably would even notice the bars being gone.

Nothin wrong with standing corrected, youre takin the time to gather the info and helping all of us out.:tiphat: Not tryin to build a road race car just want the car to be a little bit tighter on the higher speeds taking the turns on the freeway,im sure when I put my Bullit wheels back on it will help also.Love the look of the steel wheels but the sidewall is just to tall to get any performance on the turns. All my buddys have newer camaros and mustangs so they dont really have too much to worry about. I always get the thumbs up though the only old school in the pack and its a Mavi:thumbs2:

Would it make any sense to just add a rear sway bar and keep the stock bar up front?

You could encounter to much oversteer with just adding a rear bar. Match front and rear bars will balance the handling.
