I tighten them until the urethane squashes to the same diameter as the washer. It has to be tight enough to move the bar without additional compression(no slop). Ideally, picture the 2 opposing bushings together. The inside ridges should touch each other when properly clamped through the anti-sway bar hole. Don't tighten them to the point of rounding the outsides of the bushing, they will split.(ask me how I know) I use silicone dielectric grease to lube them for squeaks.
Thanks Bryant. I thought that might have been the case.Guess I better start soaking the fastners w/ some kind of penetrating oil, to hopefully make the job easier.
