Couple more things. I only had to clean sealer from the bottom of the frame up about 2 inches on the sides. Is that normal? It was the factory glass that was taken out as far as I could tell. Does the glass sit on some small stands close to the corners?
Yes and...yes My blue mav (original glass) had sealer half way up the driver side and all the way up the passenger side... The little stands keep the glass from setteling down too far as it all ages.
This article says to do it drifferently. http://www.mustangmonthly.com/techarticles/mump_0403_classic_mustang_glass_replacement/index.html
Here's another article using the traditional method. http://www.mustangandfords.com/howto/30638_leak_free_windshield_backlights/index.html
This is also a popular method.Problem is there are a plethora of methods and practices Gene.No one of em is right or wrong just different approaches to the same job.The way I described has worked well for me on many occasions and isnt as messy as other methods.I havent had any come back for leaks soo...research it and find the method you feel comfortable with and go with it.You cant go wrong as long as you seal it all well.Good luck Gene!!!
