Dave, sounds like you and me think alike! Nothing wrong with all the high tech new stuff, I just like it cheap and simple!

The 4 link works excellent for combatting that problem. If you were to put scales under the tires upon launch, it's entirely possible to see 1.5-2 times the actual car weight. That is due to the suspension geometry among other things. Look at Pro Stock. Sub 1 second 60' times (quicker than a lot of nitro cars!) but only 2300 lbs +/- and only about 1400 HP compared to 7000.

It don't end there. I found some more ways to get rid of weight...I "think" (if everything works out as planned) I can get rid of ALMOST 210 lbs. Not going to hold my breath though. I "think" I may have found a pair of fiberglass big bumpers. Supposedly they are about 4 lbs each--and supposedly the person who has them is in the process of molding them as we speak. Theyr'e supposed to call when they're ready and then I will drive down & pick 'em up. This guy is not the most reliable person, based on what I have been told, so I am not holding my breath. They're probably small bumpers. IF in fact they are big bumpers, I will post back with weight, price, quality, and where to get 'em.

Even if they are small bumpers, Im sure people on here would be interested.

I think your car would look funny w/ a small back bumper considering the wing and all.
The front would be a toss up between your sectioned big bumper and a small one.

Cant wait to see what that car runs with the new weight.
