Decals applied Put the hood decals on today. I would add a couple of things to the instructions. 1. Don't cut the excess decal at the back of the hood. Just wrap it around the back edge of the hood. 2. Don't be surprised if when you wrap the decal around it doesn't stick while its wet. Try again in 20 minutes when its dried some and it'll stick better. 3. When you're applying the decal, don't force the paper off. Just keep a steady pressure on it pulling back almost parallel with the hood. Probably took 4 or 5 minutes for the paper to slowly come off with gentle, steady pressure. I did all these things on the SECOND decal and got a much better result. I think I pulled too hard on the first one and stretched the decal. Ended up with a couple of small creases and several remaining bubbles. Bubbles should go away with time. The second one layed down perfectly with almost no bubbles. Couple of bubbles that were there initially worked out easily. As always, I could do it better next time. Now I can spray the blue on the cowl. That, and the front valance, and paint should be DONE!!!! I've been at the body work and paint for over a year.
The decals look great! Anxious to see the rest of the car in paint. Looks like you have come a long way with it. Keep going and you'll make it to the Silver Springs show in Jan. Jim
