Invite Jesse James over from Monster Garage ... he'll let you know whether they are quality welds or not. If you saw the episode where the girls were building that Camaro he had them rip the entire roll cage out so he could re-weld it ....
Dan, Jesse James still, to this day, will list his occupation as a welder. Droppie69, I know that there has to be work on the cage still. I plan to trailer it down to my favorite strip and let the owner (who I think is a NHRA certified inspector) give the scoop on the frame and what improvements need to be made. Thanks for the advice.
After reading this thread I got to wondering about something. How many Mavericks and Comets are owned by members of this forum? We have over 2000 members so there should be an awful lot of cars out there since some of us own multiple cars. I'm going to start a new thread and if everyone will reply in with how many Mav/Coms they own I think it would be cool. Oh yeah, good buy Terry. Need to buy a good heater box for it?
Hawkco, after that, build it...put the biggest engine and gear you can get in it and drag the rear bumper off! My last car kinda got out of hand...14.5:1 alkie injection, etc. We had to work on it 3 days a week to run it one night. I finally told my brother...you know...it's called drag racing....what we're doing is drag working!!! The key is having fun!
Looks like a solid buy Terry,My vote goes for a brutal street car.I love to see someone drive into the track, rip off a couple 6 sec passes, then drive out.Thats cool.BTW,did y'all figure out where you're gonna meet in k-town?
Here's another one Terry .. only $26 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6783&item=7948385784&rd=1
Congrats Terry! looks like a heck of a deal.... question: what is all that brown stuff all over the ground??????? That stuff has fallen and been raked here about 4 months ago.
I have seven oak trees in my little yard. Five of 'em are over 35' tall and they dump leaves and leaves and leaves and leaves. I don't rake 'em any more. I just chomp em in the Spring with the lawnmowers.
