I ended up ordering a set of Hooker 6231HKR Super Comps with 2" tubes and round ports with TFS flange. I lucked out and was very surprised they went in with very little modification. The number 8 tube needed to be adjusted inward to clear the frame and steering knuckle then had to do some minor clearance on the passenger side at the trans crossmember.

Very nice looking. I have a hard enough time just watching the oil pressure gauge and the shift light. :)

So Don, why are you watching the oil pressure gauge?
I've got an oil pressure engine cut-off....................if it goes lower than 10psi the engine will shut down.............also my accusump will kick in at less than 25psi................between the trans temp, water temp and tach I am already on overload.

Very nice................without the towers it just makes everything so easy to get at!
I assume you are running 2" ports in the TFS-R heads, whose header gaskets are you using?

Yep, Living the dream without them towers. I'm running the CNC race version of the TFS-Highports 2" ports same flange as the TFS-R head.

For gaskets well no gaskets here I've been using high temp RTV for years works great and the bolts stay tight I also use it for the collectors. Give it a try.

When I take the headers off again I will, but I had SCE make up some special .063 copper gaskets............and since I no exhaust beyond the collectors.......................just the merge megaphones.

    Don,
Why bother with the oil pressure gauge? I've found that by the time the pressure drops substantially there is already serious damage in the engine.Ask me how I know.

That's the truth, I had an oil pump lock up going through the traps and just by chance I happened looked over to see the oil pressure gauge dropping and shut it off. Luckly no damage except the pump and shaft.
With that in mind for this build I added a warning light and sounder to an oil pressure switch in an attempt to alert me to the drop in pressure. I hope I wont need it.

20 bucks to possibly save an engine...sounds good to me.

You can also hook up a light.................although the ignition will shutdown before your eye notice the read light and you turn the ignition off by hand.
Good insurance even if it would cost twice that much.....................IMHO
