You for sure need weld in sub frame connector's!!!! Thru the floor are best.. Also if you add the other door bar it will stiffen the whole chassis up alot more, it's worth the little money to put it in....

I guess it would depend on how big and flexible she is.
Most of the guys I know that got door bars for street cars get sick of them pretty quick and cut them out. Can they be made removable? Not sure what race rules apply.

They make a kit for a swing out door bar that latches with a pin. It's supposed to be legal up to a certain ET. Jegs and Summit both carry them....

I built mine this way so I wouldn't have to do much climbing. This only works if you have the A-piller bars to connect them to.

he gave me the option of getting the pins installed. they are pretty solid pieces. per rule book one side can be quick disconnect pins and the other has to be bolted in. We'll see how I like it. if it's annoying then I'll have him convert it to the swing out once I get the full cage.

how do people install full cages and still able to use the headlight switch? seems like the bars would either have to go through the dash which seems really hard to do or would have to go in front and either way it seems that the headlight switch needs relocating.

mo i think most people that have full cages dont worry about the head lights anymore because at that point it probably a full blown drag car.and you can always move the switch.

Guys it looks awesome! wish I could show pictures. The guy called me yesterday morning and said he did the 6-point. I took my bronco over to uhaul, got a dolley, went and picked up the maverick . . . oh man, love it! I'll post pics but I haven't had a chance.
The arm rest pads had to go (and I just got them from Craig here), the rear bars go straight back and weld onto the floor of the trunk right above the gas tank. He had to drop the tank to do the welding. I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance.

Never towed with the bronco before, I LOVE this beast. I paid $2500 for it and it's an awesome SUV.

You should'nt of got rid of the arm rest pads!! All he had to do is put a little kick in the door bar and it would clear!!!
