headers on comet gt

    85 heads were nothing special to get all worked up about and things didn't improve much untila round 87 or so.

    If budget is a concern.. mill about .040 off those 73's.. install 1.94/1.60 valves with the appropriate bowl/short turn work and clean up the exhaust ports to get your money's worth out of them.

    PS. I wouldn't go any bigger than that on cam choice. Low end and midrange torque will be nice and healthy with that one.

    that cam kit is a decent choice and a good price sine it includes the springs. I have a 512 lift cam in my stock 302 and its as big as I can go I believe without a higher compression or stall converter.
    like I said with the cam kit and the headers it sounds like it wants to eat up anything at the track but its just not THAT ready but it makes you think so lol :cool:

    cant stress enough to buy a kit that comes with the right valve springs. I pulled a stud in my head because I didnt change the springs after installing the cam ( I didnt know there were different strength springs I thought a spring was a spring lol) ended up costing me money I didnt need to spend
