Wow! Thanks for the response. Hawco we’re almost neighbors. Do you make it to Summit or Tanger cruise’ins? I live in McDonough about 35 miles south of Atlanta. It was a great deal on the Stallion, only cost him gas to go 4 miles to get it. The plans are put it back the way it came from the factory or as close as possible. It needs a floor pan and metal around the battery area. Yep that me parked next to the Comet in the background which belongs to his brother and it’s a very solid car. The 6 cyl will be replaced with a 351w and the 6 will go in the Stallion. Pasco, I’m on it. Give me a few days to get the info and I’ll get it in the Registry. The Maverick is running a 69 302, automatic and 5.33 gear. Did turn 10.5’s with the Nash 5-speed back in the day when you raced the guy in the next lane, but now its 11.6 with the automatic with a 4000 stall when you race the clock, shifting around 8000
Great! Good luck on the Stallion restoration. JOEXR793 is making reproduction part for Maverick/Comet. Check his post to know which part will be released and when. My father Stallion will need a restoration too and will be brought back like it came from factory. Keep us updated on the progress and i will add the car to the registry as soon as you send me the info! Another Stallion saved!
I think all of us are Summit regulars. We had a real nice Maverick cruise a couple of years ago to the Tanger show. Most of the GA guys usually get together a few times a year to eat and BS or whatever. You ought to keep an eye out over at dixiemaverick.com for our next mini meet.
Only if this does: The red car is my daily driver. All cars belong to guys on this board, green car with the tunnel ram belongs to M.A.V., car with the blue fender belongs to edwardsj, yellow one used to be dmhines' car, but he sold it to Rick Book, light green car belongs to Earl Branham. Small world!!
I frequent Summit and I do get down to Tanger. My projects are still projects, so I go incognito. I've live in Henry County for over 37 years. I remember when there was only 20,000 in the county. We used to drag race on Hudson Bridge Road long before it became Eagle's Landing Parkway.
