Fixmer, I have those same seats in my 71 Grabber... look about the same too. :( Here's a pic from the 71 Maverick brochure: [IMG]

Matt I knew I saw a picture like that somewhere before. Yeah, those are my exact seats. The Mach I seat cover in the above post definitely looks like a match as far as fit goes. I've been trying to find a good mustang source online to order from, but it seams like a lot of sites don't have good pictures of the actual covers. I hope to find a pretty close match as far as material goes.

I want to thank everyone who's helping me sort this all out. Looks like I'll be able to save some real money because of all the info you guys have given me...thanks!

I have seen mach one seats with the same material (69). They are not exactly the same, but I do like the comfort weave material.

This is the closest thing I've seen so far. I found this photo in the catalog of Sacremento Mustang. If the covers they offer look remotely close to this I'd be happy. I'll keep looking and I check for the 69 style you mentioned.

    Re: High back buckets

The bun and material for Comet GT's and Grabber
    Mavericks changed starting in '73.

The interior with high back seats was available as an option on non-GT and non-Grabber cars.

The pic of your car is the seats correct for up to '72.

The Comet GT's ALL came with high back buckets. They were
    optional in Grabbers.

Below is a pic of the '73-'74 style seats redone in black.
My upholstery guy re-stitched mine in new material, both
buckets and the entire rear seat for $500.
    My seat buns were fine.

I would look at the Mustang seat material, try these places:
    www.mustangsunlimited.com

    Dearborn Classics-look for them online.

My guess is that it will be fairly easy for an upholstery shop
to adapt/customize a rear seat assemble to work on your Maverick seats. The Mach I seat covers from '69-'73(?)
came with optional colored accents depending on exterior color.
Ex. '69 had a red band in the buckets running horizontally 3/4 of
the way up the back on the center of the searing surface.
Sometimes it is in black-w/white seats. Other times it was a silver or white band.

Below is a pic of the '73-'74 High back bucket interior from my '74 Comet GT.

I'm working with Branda Mustang trying to agree on a cover set. I think I'm going with 71-73 deluxe. Seth, I like the look of your seats. And that console looks great...is that a 71-73 Mustang console? I've heard Granada and Mustang II consoles are nice for a Maverick if you want a good armrest as a part of the console...but I think they both have provisions for a hand-operating parking brake which I'm not sure I want to mess with. That is a great looking combo you've got there.

    It is...

    ..a '71-'73 Mustang/Cougar console.
I don't believe that the Granada consoles have the
hand brake. I doubt it since the majority of
those cars have bench seats-they are probably
    foot brakes.

I know the Granada consoles also work when you
don't have a floor shifter. They just have a tray
    for whatever.

Well, my Grabber needs a lot of work, but I'm hoping to get a lot done in the coming months.
