m&m, i priced them there also... they were $65 bucks at the junk yard...i gave $92 bucks for mine w/o core. mine didn't have a "made in anywhere" sticker on it but did have an... o.e.m. technology...sticker on it...frank...

Yeah ... but how and where does it connect to the battery, solenoid, starter switch, etc ? Do you just reuse the current cable and leave it connected to the soleniod? Which post do you connect to on the mini starter?
dan, does yours have the one cable comming to the starter? if so just hook it to the new starter. with the "little" jumper wire you don't have anything to change. ...frank...
OK, I got the Ford Motorsport Hi-Torq mini starter (before I saw this thread) and just installed it this weekend. It actually cranks slower than the stock unit I had in there. The reason I was replacing the stock one was because of heat soak from a recent header install. What's up with that? Are these things really hi-torque? It's a fairly fresh 393 at about 10.5:1 compression. Since the stock one spun it fine when cold, I didn't expect this.
