The inline 6 cable will not work.
I'm not sure what you mean by buying a throttle off of lokar. Are you referring to the throttle shaft? That is a Holley part if so.
My picture shows two cables, one is a throttle cable and the lower one is the kisk down. They both are attached to a bracket I bought at the same time. I got the stuff from the place in the link I posted. I bet the other parts (throttle cable and bracket) are in the link. I'll look cause i'm curious.

Those return springs are needed... unless you have some others. I would stick with the package deal so your not scrounging for springs later. These are also designed for the application.

I am betting that you will need a new throttle shaft for the carb. I would find one that has the stud if you need one. You have the hole for the stud, but you will also need a slide stud (not exactly sure what it is called) at the bottom for the kick down cable end the slip onto. I can't tell from your pics if there is a place for it AND I don't remember if that was something I had to get. I will look at it tomorrow and see if I can remember.
Here is a tip also. You should avoid setting the carbs down with the weight laying on the linkage. Set it on a 2x6 or something where the linkage is not touching the table top.

In the real world I am guessing a "High tech throttle cable" is one that someone thinks requires an education to understand how they work lol. A universal black one works on several applications, not necessarly different manufactures..
In my opinion, to use the term "high tech throttle cable".. that sounds like sarcastic language.
