Sheese, what's with the post count mantra? I've been on this board for 10 years. Many on here have much higher count than me.
What part of "This is a safety issue and you can burn down your car by trying to save $4" don't you get?

everyone that has posted on this thread, posted something constructive... except you..

I did not ask if it is safe.. I asked if anyone, had done it.. obviously, you haven't and wouldn't.. good for you.. That doesn't help me find a solution to my question.. therefore, it is unnecessary posting on my thread.. understand?

Go ahead and burn your car to the ground. You basically stole it anyways. Let me have the steering wheel first before you go and put crappy orings in that Holley thing you call a carburetor.

Have you checked at Oreillys though? In the black drawers they have filled with differetn sized orings? If I remember right some of them were fuel proof.

Also I wonder if the orings used in the A/C system are fuel proof? They are freon and oil proof and are available individually also behind the parts counter.

Nice, the steering wheel looks salvageable. Burn baby burn. Its just a Comet anyways. Dont see why anybody would car if it burns up.

Not Scared. by the looks of the other projects at your place it will be a while. You must have ADD, your projects are all over the place. What are you working on tonight, SVO, Saleen, Mach I, Terminator, old stang, or just the Comet.

Tonight is the LSVO... not doing to good on the dyno.. low on power... but working on it.. Midnight Madness!!!!

Comet is waiting on cam and coil spring ISOs

Mach is for sale need to put back to stock.

saleen is on the deep back burner.. need to figure out electrical and plumbing for the turbo..

Old stang is actually running OK.. no more broken valve springs and running a lot better with the leaky holly as opposed to the shiny edelbrock..

If your Holley has an "overflow day", that tells me that you cheaped out and skipped installing the $3 fuel filter:16suspect that should have been located between the pump and carb inlet. :rofl2:Which you'll STILL need to buy AFTER you've bought and installed the new needle/seat AFTER you spent four hours trying to get those LOWES O rings to fit without leaking. :coco::whip::bump:

The needle tip is coated with Viton. It's that black stuff on it's tip.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
How can you afford to buy a Saleen and then not buy an O-ring/Neddle kit for a Holley? :hmmm:

I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything and I'm probably one of maybe 3 people who would actually know what your screen name means :D

I picked up a full 4160/4150 rebuilt kit for under $10 at Oreilly, and it was a genuine Holley kit to boot! Came with every gasket you could ever need and with replacement needles/o-rings.
